EoNex of Korea Develops CDMA Modem Chips

Korean EoNex has successfully developed chips and software for CDMA2000 1x EV-DO modems, becoming the second player in the CDMA modem market, which has been monopolized by Qualcomm. SK Telecom has decided to incorporate EoNex's CDMA2000 1x modem chip and protocol driver in their handset made by LG. EoNex plans to supply the chip to overseas terminal makers starting late 2005.
